A high-volume FMCG distributor across the UAE was managing warehouse operations through manual processes and a legacy system that could no longer support the speed and accuracy demands of the business. Order fulfilment errors, inventory discrepancies, and slow receiving were generating customer complaints and increasing operational cost.
Cristal Technologies designed and implemented a Warehouse Management System (WMS) solution covering the full inbound and outbound cycle — receiving, put-away, replenishment, pick-and-pack, and dispatch with carrier integration. Process design was conducted with warehouse supervisors before configuration began, ensuring the system matched how the warehouse actually operated.
Following a JD Edwards implementation, a leading FMCG distributor in the Gulf found its management reporting had fragmented — data spread across the new ERP, a legacy system still in partial use, and several manual spreadsheets. Cristal Technologies built a consolidated BI layer connecting the JD Edwards environment to a centralised reporting platform, with executive dashboards covering gross margin by branch, inventory aging, sales vs. target, and supplier spend. The manual reconciliation process was eliminated — management now receives daily automated reports and on-demand dashboard access.
